Warranty
In addition to your non excludable rights under Australian law, Inovita offers the following additional warranties and their ensuing conditions.
All tapware and bathroom fittings are covered by a five (5) year warranty from date of purchase. Tapware cartridges and Vitra sanitaryware are covered by a ten (10) year warranty. Baths are covered by a seven (7) year warranty, bath overflow & waste kits are covered for 12 months*.
*Please note these warranty terms are effective October 1st, 2011. Purchases made prior this date are covered by previous warranty terms (5 year tapware cartridges & VitrA Sanitaryware) from date of purchase.
Due to manufacturer's conditions, the warranty on flexible hoses and cistern mechanisms is only 12 months from date of purchase, and on toilet seats it is 24 months from date of purchase.
Inovita will undertake to repair or replace free of charge any faulty product due to defects in materials or workmanship (within the warranty period). Inovita (or their nominated agency) reserve the right to assess, repair, replace or service any warranty claims as they see fit.
This warranty excludes any defect or injury caused by or resulting from misuse, abuse or neglect, accidental damage, improper installation or other alterations or modifications which affect the reliability or performance of the unit not attributed to faulty manufacture.
Inovita is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss or damage suffered in connection with any manufacturing faults in a product.
As per AS/NZS 3500 the maximum static water pressure must not exceed 500kpa. Where pressure exceeds 500kpa, pressure-limiting valves should be installed. Warranty claims may not be honoured where excessive water pressure is evident.
Warranty claims will not be honoured where the ceramic cartridge has malfunctioned due to the presence in the water supply of;
- Copper tube pieces
- Sand, dirt or stones
- Thread tape
- Other objects not normally presented in potable water supplies
